Ever visited a big city and had no clue where to go? No idea where to find the cool, hidden and upcoming spots? That’s what Local Scene is for!
We don't do the standard canal cruises, or mass-tourist umbrella tours that cover all the typical sights. Local scenes takes you "behind the scenes" to the ‘real Amsterdam’ . We have tours and trips that take place during the day, and deep into the night.
Everything is possible---whether you want to go to a techno party, a trendy cocktail club, go tripping in the park, shop in unique boutiques, or visit Amsterdam's relaxed parks and markets!
We offer you the opportunity to experience the authentic local Amsterdam scene. We’ll take you to the places that you won't find in the guidebooks!

Lucky Lake Happy Boat tour
We know that most of the people visiting Amsterdam do a canal tour, this is of
course a very nice way to see the city from a different view, however it's the
"tourist" way. Now you can see Holland the local way! Captains Franck and Marjan
will tell you some great stories during the boat trip and point out all the
interesting features along the way.
On Saturday May 22nd at 10am we'll organize a Lucky Lake cruise from the hostel into
Amsterdam. During this 3 hour boat trip you'll experience the sights of Holland from
the water including windmills, small bridges, cows and a lock chamber.
From the Dutch countryside you will slowly navigate into the buzzing city of
Amsterdam. Arriving at Amsterdam Amstel you can get on a metro or walk into the city
center.
You can also do the boat tour the other way around if you prefer. Go into the city
in the morning and then hop on the boat at Amsterdam Amstel at 14.00 and it will
bring you back to Lucky Lake Hostel.
The price is €17,50 per person for a one way. We have a minimum of 15 people and a
maximum of 25 people on this tour. If you're interested please let us know on the
day that you arrive so we can reserve you a seat.
