Lucky Lake offers one of the most unique hostelling experiences in Europe, while maintaining the lowest prices in Amsterdam. Our cosy, communal environment is a relaxing alternative for travellers who are tired of stuffy, overcrowded dorms and sterile accommodation.

We offer three different types of accommodation: wooden cabins (new in 2009!), caravans (trailers) and 4-person dorm rooms. Our cabins and caravans are great for travelling couples looking for a few days of privacy, as well as small groups looking for a break.

Lucky Lake is situated on the southern border of Amsterdam, next to a beautiful lake area called the "Vinkeveense Plassen". We are located further from Amsterdam than many hostels, however, travelling to and from the city is relatively simple. We provide a shuttle bus to Amsterdam Holendrecht station every hour (for €1 per person), and it takes approximately 30 minutes to travel into Amsterdam Centraal station. For those looking for a one-night stop for partying and discovering Amsterdam's nightlife, Lucky Lake may not be the most suitable choice, given its location from the city.

We provide FREE breakfast every morning and guests are welcome to use our FREE internet and Wi-Fi facilities. We also have bicycles, and kayaks hire, so guests can explore the lake and surrounding countryside. Our staff are always happy to provide any information you need regarding your stay in Amsterdam. After a busy, dynamic day in the city, come "home" to cook a meal in our outdoor kitchen and meet new friends in the relaxed and social atmosphere of our hostel!

** Families should be aware that the minimum age for our guests is 17 years old. Please note that our facilities are not suitable for infants and we do NOT accept bookings for more than 6 people. Dogs are not allowed!

***Please note that Lucky Lake Hostel is closed in the wintertime from September 20th. We open on April 1st 2011 and hope to welcome you!
